Ashlei Ballet School is a local dance school offering training in classical ballet (RAD) as well as modern/contemporary, jazz, folk, acro, dancers conditioning and progressing ballet technique for ages 2 to adult.

Janet Bradbury

Instructor

Janet Bradbury has been teaching dance in New Glasgow since 1990, and is the owner and director of Ashlei Ballet School. She is a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance (Teaching Diploma), a Member of the Canadian Dance Teachers Association in Ballet, Associate of the C.D.T.A. in Acrobatic Dance, a certified Tumblebugs instructor, and has completed her Associate in Ballet with the British Association of Teachers of Dancing.

Tye Padget

Instructor

Tye Padget holds a Teacher Training Diploma from the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts, a B.A. in Dance Science and Education from York University and the Royal Academy of Dance Teaching Diploma. Her training includes ballet, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary and International dances.

Devon Greene

Instructor

Devon Greene is an Associate with the Canadian Dance Teachers Association and has a BA Human Kinetics from St. Francis Xavier University. As a certified fitness instructor and nutritionist, Devon focuses on educating well rounded, healthy dancers.

Alauryn Dunn

Instructor

Alauryn Dunn is excited to be back at Ashlei Ballet School after a few years away. Alauryn attended St. Francis Xavier for four years, competing with the St.F.X. Dance Team in her third and fourth year of study. This past year she attended UPEI where she completed her Bachelor of Elementary Education. Before her university years, Alauryn was a student of Ashlei Ballet School for 15 years, working through the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus from pre-primary to advanced 2. She has also completed examinations in modern/contemporary, jazz, and hip hop. Alauryn has had the opportunity to represent the Atlantic provinces on a national level when competing in Canadian Dance Teachers Association National Competition both in a group piece and as a soloist. She loves performing and over her time as a student was cast in 11 productions at ABS. Alauryn expanded her love of dance during her late high school years, teaching ages 2-13, and is thrilled to step back into this role.
